Who is covered for an eye exam through the BC care card?
- People 18 years and under, or 65 years and over.
Medically required eye examinations continue to be a benefit for all age groups once a year or once every two years depending on the medical condition.
A medical condition may include one of the following:

Ocular diseases and trauma

Systemic diseases associated with significant ocular risk - eg. diabetes

Medications associated with significant ocular risk

Glaucoma
-
Cataract
-
Retinal diseases
-
Corneal diseases.
